No More Space for Japanese Tools?
Recently I was organizing/reorganizing my Japanese tools.
Apparently I am almost out of room for any more. But somehow I will find the space if I every get a Japanese marking gauge or a spear plane.

Don-when are you prone to use one of those Japanese planes as opposed to the Stanley or other western push planes? Any sort of specific operation or just when the mood strikes?
I cannot say that I have integrated Japanese planes fully into my work yet. I tend to use them when doing more delicate work in clear grained softwoods, but honestly that is a purely whimsical approach. I hope to work with them more as time proceeds, particularly as I develop my portfolio of faux lacquerwork boxes.
